

Raspberry leaves have been long valued in pregnancy to strengthen and tone the tissues of the uterus. It can help strengthen contractions during labour, and check haemorrhaging. As an astringent, it is valuable for excessive menstruation, as well as diarrhea and leukorrhea. In addition, its antiseptic and astringent properties make it useful for mouth problems such as ulcers, bleeding gums, and as a gargle for sore throats. Taken regularly as a tea in the last trimester of pregnancy it is really helpful for the birthing process.
