As beta-Caryophyllene interacts with these receptors, this terpene may be efficacious in assisting with localised neuropathic pain and inflammation when applied topically. Myrcene is believed to exhibit analgesic (pain relieving) and anti-inflammatory properties due to its COX inhibitory action. Alpha-Pinene is found in high concentrations in coniferous plants and is currently undergoing promising research into its anti-inflammatory properties.
