This herb is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat liver and gallbladder problems, including gall stones. It is known to lower blood pressure and stabilise blood sugar levels. Modern trials have indicated that Stonebreaker, also known as Chanca Piedra, may reduce levels of urinary calcium and kidney stone formation. This herb has a long history of use as a natural treatment for kidney stones.
Preparation: 2 grams (1 teaspoon) per serve. Add 1 teaspoon of powder per cup. Mix into a paste. Add a little more boiled water and let sit for 10 mins. Top up with boiled water and honey if desired.
