


Paw Paw leaf tea is great for improving digestion, as the enzymes (papain) help to break down tough proteins into amino acids. Studies have found that papain also has anti-cancer effects. Paw Paw leaf is used to detoxify the intestines and expel parasites, the tannins in the leaf helping to protect the intestine from reinfestation. Traditionally, leaves have been used as a heart tonic and to reduce inflammation and pain. Research has also found paw paw leaf beneficial in treating patients with dengue fever.
