This delicate, fragrant flower is known as the "Queen of the Flowers". It is both uplifting and mildly sedating and is used to improve mood, reduce stress and tension and ease depression. As an antispasmodic and uterine tonic it is beneficial for menstrual disorders, and is also used to promote breastmilk production. Jasmine has also been used to promote healthy digestion, and its antimicrobial action fights against pathogenic bacteria.
