Meadowsweet is an excellent alkaliser, a remedy for acidic body conditions. It's traditionally used for indigestion and heartburn and is also a great remedy for repairing the gut lining. Meadowsweet is anti-inflammatory and is therefore often used for joint pain, gout and myalgia as well as cystitis and kidney and bladder stones.

Preparation: 2 grams (1 teaspoon) per serve. Add 1 teaspoon of herb per cup of boiling water.
